Aleks Garrett 2015 Committee Members

Alexandra Garrett currently holds the position of Researcher for the Audio Visual Department at the AFM & SAG-AFTRA Intellectual Property Rights Distribution Fund. Alexandra comes from a background of music and early child education. She worked at KROQ, an LA based rock station as a Promotions Assistant. This is a foundation very close to her heart as she has a young son with Autism and knows firsthand how programs and activities that benefit children through music really mean to the children. She resides in Moorpark with her two young children Seth and Avaleigh, and her partner Albert, where she spends her time volunteering in the community. Alexandra runs a community based outreach Facebook group where she provides local families with things they need after loss or inability to provide it for themselves such as clothing, toys, blankets, medicine, diapers and more. Last year she cooked and delivered Thanksgiving meals with all the sides to 3 families in need. Alexandra teaches her children to help when they can and to always care for the people in the community, her son Seth collects canned goods for the food pantry, and blankets for the animal shelters. Seth also enjoys creating care packages for the homeless and is the most caring selfless little boy. Seth is high functioning and Alexandra teaches her son there are no limitations in life. Alexandra also participates in toy drives and allows her home to be a donation drop off for needy families through her Facebook group Cornejo Valley Kind Hearts. Alexandra enjoys her time with her family, attending events and baking and cooking for the community as a hobby!

Alexandra is a very active member and puts her heart and talents into everything she does.
